This is not a museum or a hotel: Golden Silk Courtyard is our family's home, a traditional siheyuan near Shichahai that we still live in. We open it to one private group at a time. A family member shows you the courtyard's feng shui layout, the moon gate and the pomegranate tree, and talks about four generations of everyday hutong life over tea.
