Bird Observation & Snorkeling in Villa Franca do Campo

During the trip, we will first visit a less-known location in Villa Franca do Campo, where we may have the opportunity to spot some of the following bird species : Yellow-legged Gulls, Common Terns, Atlantic Canaries, Buzzards, and many more. Through the experience, our guide and captain will share interesting information and insights about the wildlife and surrounding area. After taking in this beautiful scenery, we will head out to the open sea in search of the Cory’s Shearwater, before continuing towards the Villa Franca do Campo Islet. We then sail towards Villa Franca do Campo's Islet, our guide will share fascinating facts about its history, volcanic origins, and natural importance. Along the way, you may also have the opportunity to spot some of the migratory birds that visit this area, such as Little Egrets, Ruddy Turnstones, and Whimbrels. During the activity, you will have the opportunity to observe the diverse marine life that inhabits this protected area.
