Nagarkot is one of the nearest and popular hills from Kathmandu. Nagarkot is a village located about 36 km east of Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of close to 2,165 m above sea level. As one of the most scenic spots in the region, Nagarkot is famous for its sunrise views of the Himalayas. You can observe Mount Everest with its snow-topped peaks, and there is an overlook tower at the very top of the village’s hills. Eight out of the 13 Himalayan ranges of mountains in Nepal such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Mahalangur (Everest), Numbur can be seen from here.
