About this experience
Travel through eight centuries of Dutch history in a single day. We begin in Rotterdam, home to the largest port in Europe and the birthplace of the country’s boldest, most imaginative cityscape. On this first stop, we’ll discover how this city managed to reinvent itself and rise from its ashes after being almost completely destroyed during World War II.
From Rotterdam’s grit and character, we then move on to the refined elegance of one of this country’s best-kept secrets: the city of Delft, birthplace of Vermeer and the famous Blueware pottery, a living, breathing postcard of the Dutch Golden Age.
Finally, we head to The Hague, seat of the Dutch government and official residence to the House of Orange, the royal family of the Netherlands. Here we will also discover the Peace Palace, home to the International Court of Justice, the highest court of the United Nations.
