About this experience
A small-group day trip to the real Derbyshire locations behind the BBC's celebrated 1995 Pride and Prejudice - Lyme Park's Pemberley exterior, Sudbury Hall's interiors, and the real village and landscapes from Elizabeth Bennet's Derbyshire tour.
Long before the 2005 film, the BBC's 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice - starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth - brought Jane Austen's Derbyshire to life across a set of real locations that fans still travel to see today.
Travelling from Manchester in a small group, you'll visit Lyme Park Gardens, whose grand exterior and deer park played Pemberley (including the site of Mr Darcy's famous lake scene), before a lunch stop in the Regency spa town of Buxton. The afternoon takes in Ramshaw Rocks, the dramatic outcrop where Elizabeth admires "the untamed beauty of the peaks," Sudbury Hall's Pemberley interiors, and Longnor, the real village that played Lambton.
