From far away, the pyramid of his son, Chephren, looks higher than the pyramid of Cheops since it was built on higher ground. The pyramid of his grandson, Mycerinus, is partially cased with granite blocks. The Great Sphinx is attributed to King Chephren and is considered the Guardian of the Giza plateau; many stories claim it was built by the Aliens or the people of Atlantis.
