Aburi Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden in Aburi which occupies an area of 64.8 hectares. Founded by Governor William Brandford-Griffith and Dr. John Farrell Easmon, a Sierra Leonean medical doctor. Opened in March, 1890.
Aburi is located in the Eastern Region of Ghana about 31.4km from Accra the capital. At this Garden, you will learn about various plant species and their ecological value, here you will experience trees planted by Royals and Presidents including Queen Elizabeth II.
At Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm you will have an experience of how cocoa was brought to Ghana by Tetteh Quarshie which today constitute one of the major export crops of the Ghanaian economy. In 1879, Tetteh Quarshie planted the seeds at this farm in Mampong.
You will be transferred to Waterfalls, a natural cascading flow of water from the rocks. Lunch will be served after the tour.
