Jasper Athabasca Falls: Class 2+ Family Whitewater Rafting

Discover a spectacular stretch of the Athabasca River where canyon whitewater gives way to expansive mountain scenery. Begin at the base of Athabasca Falls, where rushing water flows into the Athabasca Canyon and the whitewater action starts right away. Navigate a series of exciting Class 2+ rapids between high rock walls, surrounded by a remarkably secluded wilderness setting. As you travel downstream, watch the scenery transform as the canyon gives way to the wide-open Athabasca Valley. The river widens, the rapids become more spaced out and sweeping Canadian Rockies views unfold around you. This combination of exciting canyon whitewater and spectacular mountain scenery makes the 12 km (7.5-mile) Canyon Run an adventure that adults and children can enjoy together. No previous rafting experience is required, and ages 5+ are welcome.
