Adventure in the South of Crete - Chora Sfakion, Sweet Water & Loutro Village.

Together with the guide, we will go on a fascinating journey to South Crete! First, we will pass the Askifou Plateau, then cross the mountain range and make a stop to drink coffee, eat a local speciality — sfakiannopita, and admire the stunning views of the southern coast of the Sfakia region and the Gorge Imbros. Sfakia is said to have the highest mountains, the most remote villages, and the proudest, independent inhabitants. You will learn about what a Cretan vendetta is and why these places could not be conquered by the Turks, the Venetians, or the Germans. After meeting the village of Hora Sfakion, we will go by boat to the village of Loutro, which can be reached by water. Loutro is of Crete’s most secluded places, conquering its snow-white houses, the clearest sea, and as if floating in the airboats. There are no big hotels, crowded streets, and cars.
