See how The Hague became the international city of peace and justice, from the saddle of a Dutch city bike. In two and a half hours you cover ground that would take a full day on foot.
Start in the old centre with a view of the Binnenhof, where the 1907 Peace Conference met, then ride along the Lange Voorhout and past Noordeinde Palace, the King's working palace. Stop at the gates of the Peace Palace, home of the International Court of Justice.
Through the Scheveningse Bosjes you reach the international zone: the Yugoslavia Tribunal, the OPCW, Eurojust and Europol. The last stop is the International Criminal Court by the dunes.
The route is flat, about 13 km, mostly on cycle paths, at an easy pace. Prefer a little help on the pedals? Choose the e-bike option.
