Cathedral Cove & Hot Water Beach Small Group Tour from Auckland

Your day will begin with a pick up from your central Auckland hotel in an air conditioned minivan. Then there is a scenic 2-hour drive through the countryside and forest to the small Coromandel town of Tairua. From here, take a 15-minute guided hike to the summit of Mt. Paku, a small extinct volcano with amazing views of the Coromandel coastline (optional). After a short drive, proceed with your small group and guide to complete a 30 minute walk along the coast to the magnificent Cathedral Cove. You will spend at least 30 minutes enjoying the white sand beach, clear water, and iconic arch made famous by the Narnia films before heading back. Lunch will be from a local café at Hot Water Beach or Hahei (own expense). Next, spend some time dipping your toes in the unique natural hot springs at Hot Water Beach (exact schedule depends on the tide times), before returning to Auckland around 6pm, with an optional stop for ice cream along the way.
