Burgos Sheep Shearing Experience

Experience the unique experience of sheep shearing on a farm in the village of Burgos in central Sardinia. Here in the month of June, sheep are relieved of the warm wool by shearing, a very important activity from which also derives the art of weaving and the wonderful Sardinian carpets, made with the peculiar techniques that each village has by tradition. Under the expert guidance of shepherds, you will experience first-hand the techniques used, learn the differences between manual and mechanical tools, and touch the freshly sheared wool. You will discover how this precious raw material is processed into elaborate fabrics and artefacts, the symbol of Sardinian craftsmanship.
