Enjoy a Kyoto City-designated Important Machiya featuring an authentic tea room and tranquil tea garden near Fushimi Inari. Guests are welcomed by staff upon arrival and may freely explore the historic machiya. Inside, you can experience hands-on Japanese culture by touching traditional tea utensils, viewing rare tea room features, and enjoying simple Ikebana flower arranging using various vases. Highlights include the nijiriguchi (small tea room entrance), tsurigama (hanging kettle), stone tea mills, tea jars, and traditional mizuya preparation area rarely seen up close by visitors.
