About this experience
Qelqanqa is an indigenous community of the Andes, located in the valley of the Patacancha River, belonging to the district of Ollantaytambo, province of Urubamba, in Cusco. It is rich in flora and fauna, where you can find 60 species of birds and more than 700 species of plants. In Qelqanqa there is still a direct descent from the last Incas, which can be corroborated with the current surnames of the locals, such as Sinchi, Huamán, Yupanqui, Quespe, among others.
