Full-Day Whitney Plantation and Airboat Swamp Tour with Pickup

Take a trip down to Plantation Country and explore Whitney Museum Plantation. During the 75-minute self-guided audio walking tour, visitors will gain a unique perspective on the lives of the enslaved people on a Louisiana sugar plantation, learning their stories through the real oral histories recorded by the Federal Writers Project during the Depression. After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE). After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes cover pontoon fast-speed boat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators.
