About this experience
Sobibor was one of the extermination camps operated by Nazi Germany during World War II as part of the "Operation Reinhard" campaign, designed to systematically annihilate European Jews. Located in eastern Poland, it became operational in 1942. Sobibor played a devastating role in the Holocaust, where about 180,000 people, primarily Jews, were brutally murdered.
In recent years, the Sobibor Museum underwent a transformative rebuilding process, resulting in the creation of a new exhibition and memorial site for visitors.
Sobibor Death Camp and Wlodawa are located less than 3,5 hours drive from Warsaw so it is possible to visit it during 1 day trip.
