About this experience
Meet your guide at Shinjuku Station for train ride toward the coast. There, you’ll transfer to the historic Enoden train line. This charming vintage train clatters along the Pacific coast, offering stunning ocean views and glances of surfing villages (and Mount Fuji on clear days!). Your tour includes an Enoden day pass to reuse freely after the tour!
First stop: Hase-dera, the "Temple of Flowers." Explore its gorgeous gardens, hidden candle-lit caves, and a panoramic terrace overlooking Sagami Bay.
Next, visit the city's icon: the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in. Stand in awe before this majestic 11-meter bronze statue, which has stood in the open air since the 13th century.
Finally, ride the Enoden to Kamakura Station. Walk through lively Komachi Street, famous for street food and handicrafts, up to Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine. Here, your guide will reveal how the samurai government shaped Kamakura's history.
The tour ends at the shrine, and you can return to Tokyo at your own pace!
