About this experience
Cruise through the Marmara Sea to Princes' Islands by boat (PUBLIC). There will be a stop at Büyükada, a popular summer resort with pinewood scenery and wooden mansions. Büyükada was once the pleasure island of Byzantine Princes. In 569 AD, Byzantine Emperor Justin II had a palace and monestary built on the island. Also here you will see a convent, which was a place of excile for Byzantine empresses. Other buildings of note are the Agia Yorgi Church and Monestary (dating back to the 6th Century), the Agios Dimitrios Church, and the Hamidiye Mosque. Büyükada was also popular among prosperous Turks, Greeks, Jews, and Armenians during the first half of the 20th century. You wıll travel around the island by horse-drawn carriage before lunch at a fish restaurant. During the tour Topkapi Palace, Leander's Tower, and the Üsküdar District can be seen in the distance. You will return to İstanbul in the evening and transfer to your hotel.
NB. PUBLIC boats will be used for the journeys
