From Rome to Ostia Antica

Ostia Antica is a large archaeological site, close to the modern suburb of Ostia (Rome). At the mouth of the River Tiber, Ostia was Rome’s seaport. It is noted for the excellent preservation of its ancient buildings, magnificent frescoes and impressive mosaics. If you wish to spend a nice morning touring outside of Rome this is a very good option.
