Alaska Helicopter and Glacier Dogsled Tour - ANCHORAGE AREA

Drive your own sled dog team with an Iditarod team of mushers and Alaskan huskies on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over mountains and glaciers; often spotting moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a high snow-covered glacier and enjoy a whole hour with sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. After a brief safety chat with the mushers, embark on a 30 minute sled ride where you'll take turns standing on the runners of the sled and sitting to enjoy the ride. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled and take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour, enjoy views of the Knik Glacier from the helicopter while you soar back to the lodge over sparkling blue melt pools and crevasses. Total Tour Time: 1.5 hours - includes 1 hour with the dogsled team (aprox 30 min sled ride) and approx 30 min round trip flightseeing
