High Desert Safari 4X4 Tour

The tour will begin at the Merc in Placitas, NM, a unique, little grocery store located in the Homestead Village Shopping Center, serving the community just north of Albuquerque. There you can purchase a snack or beverage, if you'd like, and use the facilities prior to leaving for the tour. Then you'll hit the road in a one of a kind, 4X4 Safari Van, complete with sliding rag top and removable windows! After driving through the historic village of Placitas, we'll enter a 20,000 acre, private ranch, and see an Ancestral Puebloan ruin site with artifacts, petroglyphs, sea life fossils, beautiful landscapes, and the movie set located on the property. At several of these places, you will exit the vehicle to experience sites up close. Throughout the tour there's a good chance of seeing wild horses, so we'll be watching for them along the way!
