About this experience
Most geisha dance experiences in Kyoto are over in a flash: two short dances, about 10 minutes, and you are back on the street. Here you can take your time: two dances, then a workshop where the dancer explains what you just saw, and a final dance to enjoy with new eyes.
Not a show by geisha: this is Nihon Buyo, the star among the arts geisha learn, performed by the Senju troupe under Grand Master Senju Einojo. The show moves from a glass tea room onto a Zen rock garden stage and ends with Tora Tora, a geisha party game, and photos with the dancer. One drink included.
Complete the day with 80g of A5 Yamagata Heifer Wagyu sirloin, the Queen of Wagyu, grilled on a teppan: lunch before the show or an early dinner after it.
Seating: groups of 3-6 get their own table; 1-6 guests can book counter seats facing the stage.
Hosted at ZEN, the flagship of Arc, a Tripadvisor Best of the Best Wagyu group rated 4.9 on Google (3,500+ reviews).
