Athens: War Museum General Access Experience Audioguide

Located near Syntagma Square and the National Garden, the museum presents the military history of Greece from prehistoric times and antiquity to the Greek Revolution, the Balkan Wars, the World Wars, the Korean War and modern history. Move through multiple exhibition levels filled with weapons, armor, uniforms, maps, paintings, photographs, personal belongings, military equipment, historical documents and large-scale displays. Outside, discover an impressive collection of military aircraft, artillery pieces and other historic equipment. The museum was established by the Greek state to preserve and present objects connected with Greece's military history and was inaugurated in Athens in 1975. Today, its permanent exhibition follows Greek military history from antiquity to the present day.
