Kyoto:Japanese Samurai Replica Sword Making Workshop

This workshop allows you to create a decorative Japanese short sword from the blade to the final design. Experience zinc-alloy casting, then choose your own scabbard, handle, guard, ornaments and cord from a wide variety of colors and traditional patterns. Every combination is different, making your finished sword truly one of a kind. With guidance from an experienced instructor, beginners can enjoy the process safely while learning about sword construction, craftsmanship and the end of the samurai era. Best of all, you can take your handmade creation home—not as an ordinary souvenir, but as a lasting memory of Kyoto.
