About this experience
We will meet in front of the Palace of Fine Arts and begin a historical tour to understand the social, political and cultural context that led to the Mexican Revolution.
We will cross Central Alameda which witnessed key events both in the viceroyal era and in the years leading up to the Revolution.
We will visit the Diego Rivera Mural Museum, where we will examine in detail the mural Dream of a Sunday afternoon in the Alameda Central where we will identify historical characters and analyze how mural art became an instrument of ideological dissemination after the Revolution.
We will walk to the unfinished structure of the old Legislative Palace. We will observe its architecture and understand how this space went from representing the porphyrist power to becoming a mausoleum dedicated to revolutionary leaders.
After two hours we will say goodbye at the Revolution Monument. There, you will have the option of climbing to the viewpoint.
