Fishing and gastronomic immersion

This experience is a cultural and gastronomic immersion into life along the Pacific coast, where you will discover traditional fishing practices and the relationship coastal communities have with the sea and the foods it provides. Accompanied by local fishermen, you will learn traditional cast-net fishing techniques and have the opportunity to experience how this practice is carried out. You will also discover what happens to the fish after it is caught: how it is selected, cleaned, and prepared for distribution to local markets and establishments Throughout the experience, you will learn where some ingredients that are part of the region’s cuisine come from and gain a deeper understanding of the connection between the sea, fishermen, markets, and local kitchens Finally, we will visit a local restaurant, where you will enjoy your catch prepared in the traditional Nayarit style, turning what you have learned into a culinary experience that connects the sea, the community, and the table.
