1918 Australian Battlefield Tour of the Somme

Entirely private tour by an official, insured, Somme tour-guide. Halting the German Spring Offensive near Villers-Bretonneux in 1918, the Australians pushed back the opposition during the 100 Days Offensive. The crowning glory of the Australian Imperial Force in Europe, especially compared to the horrendous losses of the two years previous. Amongst the highpoints of the tour we follow the last flight of the fabled Red Baron, who was almost certainly brought down by an Australian machine-gunner and we pay a visit to one of the greatest Australian sportsmen of the 20th century; Cecil Healy.
