Visit Volterra, Peccioli & Lajatico | Livorno Cruise Excursion

This private day trip takes you from the Livorno cruise terminal into the hills of the Valdera and the Volterra area. You travel in a comfortable air-conditioned van with a professional driver, at your own pace, and you are back at the port well before departure. You start in Lajatico, a small village set in rolling Tuscan countryside, known as the home of the open-air Teatro del Silenzio. You then continue to Peccioli, voted Borgo dei Borghi 2024, the Italian TV contest for the most beautiful village. Here you visit the Giants of Peccioli, a group of large stone sculptures in the landscape, and walk in the old village with its views over the valley. The afternoon is in Volterra, a hilltop town of Etruscan origin, with Piazza dei Priori, the cathedral, the Roman Theatre and the alabaster workshops, before the drive back to Livorno.
