About this experience
This small group day begins at the Museum of Occupation and Freedom Fights, where our professional guide will take you through powerful stories of Lithuania’s partisans and their struggle for independence in the settings of the former KGB/Secret Service HQ.
From there, we’ll travel through the Soviet-era neighborhood of Karoliniškės, a district tied to the dramatic events of January 1991 where the local population of Lithuania violently clashed with the Soviet armed forces. We will stop amongst the former Cosmos-themed blocks at Baltic Brew for an included lunch and drink.
Next we head towards Belarus to a forested shooting range, where you’ll have the rare chance to try authentic Forest Brother–era weapons under supervision, including remnant Nazi Germany and Soviet Union guns such as the MP40 and PPSH41.
Finally, we finish at Russian Empire-era Lukiškės Prison, closed in 2019 and now a cultural hub where you have the option to explore it's walls, or take a meal and drink.
