Paris A burlesque cabaret in a former brothel

Push the discreet door of 32 rue Blondel and take a seat in the former Aux Belles Poules salon, surrounded by ceramics, frescoes and mosaics listed as Historic Monuments. Then the lights go down and the Scandalers enter the scene. Throughout the acts, Mara de Nudea and her artists take you into their universe and give back a voice to the scandalous women of old. The paintings follow one another, moving from singing to theatre, from dance to burlesque leaves, with humor, sensuality and malice. Here, there is no distant stage or large impersonal cabaret: the proximity to the artists and the intimate character of the place put you as close as possible to the show. For two hours, the cabaret codes and the sulphurous history of the place meet to create an experience that could not have been imagined anywhere but Aux Belles Poules.
