Madeira Pico do Areeiro Sunset Small Group Tour with Pickup

Watch the sunset from Pico do Areeiro, Madeira's third highest peak, at 1,818 metres, with a local host and a small group of up to 8 guests. This is a viewpoint experience, not a hike. We collect you in the late afternoon at your accommodation, or at a nearby meeting point if your street is closed to cars, and travel in a comfortable electric vehicle. We arrive about an hour before sunset and walk with your host to the viewpoint, about 600 metres in total on uneven ground and steps, with time to settle in and take photos in the golden light. We stay until shortly after the sun has gone down, with stories about the island. With luck the sky turns orange and red above the ridges, but the weather in the mountains changes quickly and the view cannot be guaranteed. The way back to the vehicle is at dusk or after dark. The whole experience lasts about 3 hours. It is not suitable at all for guests with reduced mobility, wheelchairs or pushchairs.
