Matcha Grinding and Tasting and Daniel Inouye Museum Tour

Visit Yame's tourist highlights, the Green Tea Cultural Center and the Daniel Inouye Museum, with an English-speaking guide. The mountainous area of Yame City, such as Hoshino and Joyo, is called Okuyame, and is dotted here and there with beautiful mountains, valleys, rivers, terraced rice fields, and stone bridges. First, you will experience a hands-on workshop at the the Green Tea Cultural Center on how to make matcha powder from tea leaves using a grindstone. Then you have 110 minutes of free time to enjoy a meal at Yame Saryo Restaurant(*), stroll through Peace Plaza and the nearby bamboo forest, or shop at the Green Tea Cultural Center. (*) Lunch are not included in the tour price. After the Green Tea Cultural Center, you will visit to the Daniel Inouye Museum, which opened in April, 2024. Enjoy the memorial exhibitions related to Mr. Daniel, the Ohana Mart, full of specialty products, and Cafe Mahalo where you can relax while looking out at the Hoshino River.
