About this experience
The only Brontë tour that departs from the Lake District. We pick you up from Windermere, Bowness or Ambleside and take you on a journey through three counties — Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire — to Haworth: the West Yorkshire village where Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë lived, wrote and are buried.
Along the way you'll stop at Cowan Bridge, where the young Brontë sisters attended the school that became Lowood in Jane Eyre, and Wycoller Hall in Lancashire — the romantic ruin that inspired Ferndean Manor. In Haworth itself, Gillian leads a guided walk through the village, the church and the graveyard before you spend time at the Brontë Parsonage Museum. And between stops, the drive across the West Yorkshire moors brings the world of Wuthering Heights to life in a way no book can.
Private tour. Maximum 6 guests. Brontë Parsonage Museum entrance included.
