Prague Malá Strana Secret Gardens Small Group Walking Tour

Discover four hidden gardens most visitors never find, climbing gradually from the riverside to the gates of Prague Castle. Malá Strana hides more gardens than most visitors ever find. This walk strings together four of the best — starting low, by the water, and climbing gradually toward the Castle. You'll begin in the Wallenstein Garden, a Baroque estate built by a general who demolished half a street to make room for his ambitions, still roamed by peacocks today. From there, a quiet gate leads into Vojan Gardens, Prague's oldest walled garden, tucked away and rarely visited. The route follows the Čertovka — the "Devil's Stream" — past an old working watermill, before climbing into the Vrtba Garden, a UNESCO-listed terraced garden with some of the best rooftop views in the neighborhood. The walk ends one level higher still, in the Gardens Below Prague Castle, finishing right at the base of the Castle walls for anyone who wants to continue up on their own.
