About this experience
It is believed that Santa Luzia was founded around 1577, when a group of fishermen resolved the problem on their own and built a chapel in honor of the Sicilian martyr and protector of those suffering from eye diseases Santa Luzia.
Fuzeta, according to the oldest historical accounts dated to 1572, was known as “Fozeta” (diminutive of foz) which would have had its origin in the fact that there was a river called “ribeiro do tronco”.
A small white village Fuseta, located between Olhão and Tavira.
Born in Olaria
She was born in the maternity home of Moncarapacho in 1958 but it is as if she had come to the world in the olaria. Francisco Eugénio represents the fourth generation of potters in the family. “The clay was my playstation,” he says. As a child, he was in the mule cars to pick up the crude clay, which he helped bite. “I loved moving on the ground”
