Escape into an old lenga forest just minutes from San Martín de los Andes — off the traditional circuits, with no crowds, no ski lifts, no rush. Your 4x4 carries you up into the cordillera as far as the snow allows, then you walk into a native lenga forest and stop for hot mate, coffee or tea. This small-group tour is capped at 4 travelers and runs about 4 hours, with your guide doubling as driver, speaking English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Just silence, snow underfoot, and time to actually be in it. Please bring your own warm, waterproof clothing and footwear, as this isn't included.
