Mornings in the Food Forest

Taste, touch and discover what is growing in the thriving, Hawaiian agroforest. Embark on a “tasting-tour” through a food forest to sample colorful tropical fruits and plants. Get hands-on with the daily workings of the farm. Discover knowledge to bring home to your own garden. Explore unique planting architecture, crop production, and integrated animal systems that work together to build soil, cycle nutrients, and foster biodiversity. You’ll even get your hands (a little bit) dirty learning about planting, mulching and other activities, depending on the needs of the farm that morning. As you explore the food forest, you’ll taste fresh fruit and plants directly from the tree and learn about their history and special uses. You’ll end the experience with a beautiful platter of tropical, colorful fruits from the farm and farmers across Kauai.
