Lake Bleach Tour and Volcano Route

Unlike other well-known highland routes, this route takes you to a much less traveled territory for mass tourism, where volcanic geology is the real protagonist. You’ll see the Lascar volcano, one of Chile’s most active volcanoes, up close, and you’ll get to know the Maar Cerro Overo, a rare volcanic crater virtually unknown to most visitors to San Pedro de Atacama. In addition, this tour combines nature, geology and local culture: we pass through Talabre and Toconao, highlands where the Atacameño tradition is still lived, and we reach Laguna Lejía, a mirror of water surrounded by volcanoes that rarely appears on traditional tourist circuits.
