The first Capital of the United States of America was here, Washington took office as our first President here, mere blocks from where the last British troops left America just six years earlier. The Financial Heart of not only the country, but of the world is in Lower Manhattan as well as the world's largest gold supply. The world watched in horror as the twin towers were attacked and fell on September 11, 2001. I am a native New Yorker; I was a stock trader who worked here for 20 years.
