About this experience
We start at the foot of Bayeux Cathedral, consecrated in 1077 in the presence of William the Conqueror, then leave the town behind onto backroads no tour bus can follow. Stone farmhouses, orchards, and villages little changed since 1944 mark the way to the coast.
Then, without warning, a narrow path opens onto Omaha Beach — its full width and silence arriving at once. From there we continue to the Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, where 9,387 crosses and Stars of David stand across 172 acres above the bluffs, beside the Memorial, Chapel, and Garden of the Missing.
The ride back retraces quieter ground — hedgerows and farm roads Allied troops once fought through — before Bayeux's towers reappear ahead. Throughout, this remains your tour alone: your guide, your pace, and your language, whether English, French, or Mandarin.
