About this experience
The charming little mountain village of Imlil is the obligatory stopping point for all hikers who wish to undertake the 4167 m of Mount Toubkal, the second highest peak in Africa after Kilimanjaro. Located 75 km from Marrakech, Imlil is also a gateway to the superb Toubkal National Park.
After crossing the gorges of Asni, a picturesque village known for its weekly Saturday souk, the road continues along a green valley where the mountains, impressive natural bastions, play with colors... mid-slope nestle villages Berbers with mud houses surrounded by terraced crops. Each of the villages is nestled against the foothills of the Atlas, and built in tiers. A succession of very varied landscapes and lush vegetation.
A mule ride to the village of Aremd is planned to admire the panoramic view of the Imlil valley and that of Toubkal.
