Throughout the 19th century, the economic growth of Vigo was exponential, which helped the growth and establishment of a powerful bourgeois class in the city. Throughout the century, the cemeteries of Picacho and Santiago remain small, and finally, the Pereiró cemetery is built, whose inauguration will take place in 1898.
