Alexandria Haunted Old Town Self Guided Ghost Tour

You play a ghost hunter on your first night in the job, and Old Town Alexandria is your patch. The Questo app runs the hunt from your phone. It sends you down King Street and into the brick lanes around it, where ten ghosts are waiting to be caught. Each of them died with something unfinished, and each comes with a puzzle: dating a senator's evidence folders, sorting a professor's artifacts by civilization, deciding the order a burning hotel should have been emptied in. Every ghost you catch gives up a clue about the one spirit that has been lying from the start. The characters are fictional, made up for the game. The route is pure Old Town: the Torpedo Factory, Carlyle House, Gadsby's Tavern, Christ Church and the Potomac waterfront. It's about 1.4 miles and takes around 90 minutes.
