Next, visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a masterwork of ancient architecture built for one of Ancient Egypt’s most powerful female rulers. Stop by the Colossi of Memnon, two towering 18-meter stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood as silent guardians for millennia. Cross over to the East Bank to explore the majestic Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built, featuring the awe-inspiring Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive sandstone columns.
