Immerse yourself in the beautiful fall cots and the natural beauty of New Hampshire as you pedal through vibrant woods, and peaceful marshes. The rail is a haven for nature lovers and those who want to stay away from cars and noise. Keep your eyes open for wild turkeys, songbirds, & other wildlife as you ride along marshside paths and through wooded clearings. But beneath your wheels lies another story. This peaceful rail was once a busy railroad corridor. The rails connected the Seacoast to the wider world, carrying people, goods & even the famous beer produced by Portsmouth brewmaster Frank Jones. Now, nature has reclaimed the corridor. Where locomotives once traveled, cyclists glide along flat, well-maintained crushed-stone paths surrounded by wetlands, forests, and the changing colors of the seasons.
