About this experience
The tour will start from the Consular Gate, one of the ancient entrances to the city, and then reach the Gate of Venus, flanked by the famous Towers of Properzio, extraordinary testimony of the Roman Spello.
Walking through flowery alleys and picturesque views of the Umbrian valley, you will arrive at the Collegiate Church of San Lorenzo, whose particular facade tells the different historical and architectural transformations of the building.
In the heart of the village you will then discover the loggia of Palazzo Urbani, a fascinating and little-known place, characterized by the overlapping of different structures and styles. Its arches frame suggestive views of the sky and create an atmosphere almost suspended in time.
The visit will continue in the church of Sant’Andrea, recognizable by the Romanesque façade in white and pink Subasio stone. Inside you can admire important works of art, including a large table painted by Pinturicchio and an ancient wooden crucifix linked to Giotto’s school.
