About this experience
Walk through Cavtat's old town, a small Dalmatian coastal town just 18 km south of Dubrovnik, where two thousand years of history survive in stone, canvas, and silence.
Set on the wooded Rat peninsula, Cavtat was once the Roman city of Epidaurum. Later it lived under the Republic of Dubrovnik, and later still it became the birthplace of Vlaho Bukovac, Croatia's most celebrated painter.
This self-guided game connects all of it: ancient walls, a Rector's Palace, a small art gallery, a mausoleum that won the Grand Prix in Paris, a Franciscan monastery, and the house where a boy who sailed to New York came home and put paint on the walls.
Nine stops, 1.3 km, about 75 minutes at your own pace. No guide, no group, just you, the Questo app, and a peninsula that has been carrying footsteps for a thousand years. The antidote to crowded Dubrovnik.
