Akaroa Coastal Discovery Day Tour from Christchurch or Lyttelton

This scenic 75 km journey takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours each way. You will travel from the urban landscapes of Christchurch over the volcanic crater walls of Banks Peninsula to the historic French settlement of Akaroa, with stunning coastal and mountain views throughout. The road climbs to Gebbies Pass, revealing sweeping views of Lake Ellesmere.Once in Akaroa, you can spend your time exploring the waterfront, browsing boutique shops, or dining at one of the many cafes. You can also do boat cruise or kayaking that usually take 2 hours.You will be dropped back in Christchurch after a full day spent in Akaroa.
