Chiang Mai Yi Peng Cultural Night 2026 with Sky Lantern Release

Spend an evening at the Chiang Mai Yi Peng Sky Lantern Festival 2026, a cultural night rooted in Lanna traditions in nearby San Kamphaeng. Join a Lanna Buddhist ceremony and light a traditional Pang Pratheep clay candle before floating a handcrafted Krathong in the designated floating area. Try Bo Sang umbrella painting and Taleaw making alongside local artisans, then explore a lively Kad Mua northern-style market, with Thai street food available through included food vouchers. As night falls, release your two Yi Peng sky lanterns and watch the evening glow with thousands of lights. With cultural performances bringing the evening to life, these moments give your Chiang Mai journey deeper meaning through Lanna culture, local flavors, and community spirit.
