Prospect Park Boathouse Walking Tour Experience

An in-depth look at Brooklyn’s premier green space. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux after their completion of Central Park, Prospect Park represents the pinnacle of 19th-century landscape architecture. This walking tour examines how 526 acres of pasture and woodland were transformed into a seamless urban retreat. This route covers the park’s three distinct zones: the open expanse of the Long Meadow, the engineered waterways of the Lake, and the dense canopy of the Ravine—Brooklyn’s only forest.
